Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) After a rather tough play, Serbia's Jovan Borisov got a free kick in the 5th minute. After having played for 9 minutes, Alam Yi-Sheng managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brighton's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alam Yi-Sheng was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 11th minute of the match, Sreten Popovic tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Darryl Boon saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Daniz Lee hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Sreten Popovic's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 13thth minute, Darryl Boon skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Darryl Boon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sreten Popovic's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. The supporters of Brighton booed when Serbia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Drasko Rajkovic didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zvezdan Nedeljkovic made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Faizal Choo in the 21st minute of play. Bryan Low hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. 25 minutes into the match, Serbia's Sreten Popovic broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Zvezdan Nedeljkovic took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Faizal Choo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Firdauz Choo fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Brighton's protests and gave Firdauz Choo a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Serbia booed when Brighton was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Firdauz Choo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 36th match minute, Brighton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Azli Mathews to maneuver through the defense. Zvezdan Nedeljkovic took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniz Lee, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniz Lee was shown his second yellow card after 41 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Daniz Lee hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Azli Mathews made in the 44th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Faizal Choo immediately put the ball in play. Sreten Popovics short, quick shot in the 45thth minute got Darryl Boon to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sreten Popovic stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Sreten Popovic managed to get in a good position for a shot. Serbia's supporters rose to their feet, but Sreten Popovic was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Darryl Boon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Darryl Boon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sreten Popovic in the 58th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Serbia's zone, Alam Yi-Sheng stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zvezdan Nedeljkovic came out of the goal and Alam Yi-Sheng tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Faizal Choo scored 1-1 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zvezdan Nedeljkovic, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Firdauz Choo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zvezdan Nedeljkovic having to interfere. Zvezdan Nedeljkovic took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alam Yi-Sheng, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Brighton getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Ali Ning hit a great ball. Borjan Golubovic recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alam Yi-Sheng in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zvezdan Nedeljkovic saved Serbia from getting behind. Darryl Boon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miljan Gavrilovic in the 83rd minute of the match. 85 minutes into the match, Firdauz Choo notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Serbia's Zvezdan Nedeljkovic. Zvezdan Nedeljkovic was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Faizal Choo took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zvezdan Nedeljkovic. Zvezdan Nedeljkovic dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alam Yi-Sheng in the 95th minute of play forced Serbia's goalkeeper Zvezdan Nedeljkovic to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Brighton getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Firdauz Choo hit a great ball. When the match was over Brighton could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Serbia throughout the match.
