Danilo Principe charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Emmanuel Dandy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zaccheo Andolina in the 53rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronalds McDonald in the 57th minute of play forced Italy's goalkeeper Flavio Vittori to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Siricio Liotta in the 58th minute of play forced BLACK STAR FC's goalkeeper Emmanuel Dandy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 59 minutes, Emmanuel Dandy successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Flavio Vittori took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronalds McDonald, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 68th play minutes Zaccheo Andolina shot 2-1, a short shot which went by Emmanuel Dandy and just under the crossbar into goal. With a little luck, BLACK STAR FC's Emmanuel Dandy got control of the ball when Zaccheo Andolina tried to sneak it across the goal line. Zaccheo Andolina came free with the goalkeeper in the 75th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Emmanuel Dandy could save by the left post. Zaccheo Andolina got the audience’s attention when, from a short distance, he fired away a great shot in the 75th minute of the game. The shot hit the left post and bounced out. Italy made a substitution. Sansone Vanella replaced Gianpaolo Mascari. Joko Kustiana made in the 83rd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Zé Augusto Sena however managed to control. BLACK STAR FC's Danilo Principe got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Joko Kustiana kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Italy defense, Vahdet Ulumeriç kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Flavio Vittori. The Italy fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Flavio Vittori should have stopped the shot. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. BLACK STAR FC were victorious despite being under pressure from Italy for much of the match.
