But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anthar Bensaoula couldn't finish the play. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Frank Sachs struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Johnny van der Sar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Germany. Anthar Bensaoula fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tommy Kahn having to interfere. If Frank Sachs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 32nd minute of the match, Anthar Bensaoula tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Tommy Kahn saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Germany's Malte Schiele was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Johnny van der Sar in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After a rather tough play, La manada fc's Karim Liegeon got a free kick in the 64th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Salah Belhagj during the 65th minute. Tommy Kahn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Samir Menad, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. If Farid Boulebda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. La manada fc's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
