In the 2nd match minute, Vlaamse Voetbal Verenigin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joonatan Ryers to maneuver through the defense. 10 minutes into the match, Leonhard Maier dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Dominic Colebrants, 2-0. When Gustav Volckaerts fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vlaamse Voetbal Verenigin's protests and gave Gustav Volckaerts a yellow card for diving instead. If Jonas Nalder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Teun Van Heurick hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Dominic Colebrants took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabio Schneider, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fabio Schneider got free with Dominic Colebrants in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 37th minute, Leonhard Maier left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Austria fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. Fabio Schneider scored 5-1 in the 41st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dominic Colebrants, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 45th minute, Sandro Galishoff hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 47 minutes into the game, Vlaamse Voetbal Verenigin's Oliver Dejonckheere nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fabio Auer made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sandro Galishoff made a kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marc Kronecker during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 55 minutes into the game, Marvin Harrer was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Austria's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vlaamse Voetbal Verenigin the free kick. Ivan Van hoegaerde's late challenge caught a Austria's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ivan Van hoegaerde helped the player get up and apologised. In the 62nd minute, Marvin Harrer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Sandro Galishoff had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 69th minute Fabio Schneider shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dominic Colebrants saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 72 minutes into the game, Vlaamse Voetbal Verenigin's Teun Van Heurick nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fabio Auer made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-3. Harald Rockloos kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. In the 82nd minute of the match Austria got a corner. Vlaamse Voetbal Verenigin's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Sandro Galishoff ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Austria's corner Sandro Galishoff fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Dominic Colebrants quite easily take care of the ball. In the 87th match minute, Vlaamse Voetbal Verenigin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ivan Van hoegaerde to maneuver through the defense. Austria's Fabio Schneider got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marc Kronecker hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Austria fully deserved thier win.
