Albérico Aires took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Toni Mauzer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Toni Mauzer got free with Albérico Aires in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 15th minute Alcides Pacheco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ilija Skugor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 17 minutes into the game, Dinko Stankovic cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Albérico Aires was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Croatia booed when Sporting Vila Facaia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valério Vidigal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Albérico Aires showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Martin Bosak in the 25th minute of the match. Flávio Prada kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Toni Mauzer's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 27thth minute, Albérico Aires skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Croatia's Toni Mauzer got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 32nd minute, Toni Mauzer left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Croatia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Albérico Aires tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Sporting Vila Facaia getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Flávio Prada hit a great ball. Toni Mauzer, 42 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Alcides Pacheco scored 4-1 in the 45th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ilija Skugor, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alcides Pacheco was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Sporting Vila Facaia's goal looked a bit too open when Dinko Stankovic came free, but Albérico Aires reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Albérico Aires made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Toni Mauzer in the 52nd minute of play. Ilija Skugor made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Alcides Pacheco sent off a good shot on target. Valério Vidigal kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Martin Bosak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albérico Aires having to interfere. Albérico Aires showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Toni Mauzer in the 61st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dinko Stankovic in the 62nd minute of play forced Sporting Vila Facaia's goalkeeper Albérico Aires to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 67 minutes into the match, Sporting Vila Facaia's goal looked a bit too open when Toni Mauzer came free, but Albérico Aires reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Albérico Aires made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Toni Mauzer in the 68th minute of play. In the 69th minute, Damir Pongrac left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Croatia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alcides Pacheco during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 73rd match minute, Sporting Vila Facaia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alcides Pacheco to maneuver through the defense. Croatia's Ilija Skugor proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Croatia from getting a goal against them. Albérico Aires came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Croatia's Toni Mauzer. But to his dismay, Toni Mauzer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-1. Croatia's Ilija Skugor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Durães in the 84th minute of play. Sporting Vila Facaia's Albérico Aires played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damir Pongrac in the 87th minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Sporting Vila Facaia players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Croatia.
