River CBBA's Marcelo Barovero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sigfrido Auletta in the 14th minute of play. Marcelo Barovero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sigfrido Auletta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 24 minutes into the match, Zaccheo Andolina notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of River CBBA's Marcelo Barovero. Marcelo Barovero was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 30th minute Zaccheo Andolina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Barovero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 35 minutes into the match, Italy's goal looked a bit too open when Ponciano Abarca came free, but Flavio Vittori reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcelo Barovero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zaccheo Andolina, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Marcelo Barovero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Siricio Liotta in the 39th minute of play. Italy's attentive Eliseo Cutri managed to snatch the ball when Matías Almeida made a throw-in in the 43rd minute of the game. Flavio Vittori showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ponciano Abarca, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

River CBBA made a substitution. Varis Birgelis replaced Cipriano Abechuco. The wind increased when Juan Funes made the kick off in the second half. After 54 played minutes Italy got a freekick which was hit by Porziano Marchitelli. Marcelo Barovero made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zaccheo Andolina in the 55th minute. Marcelo Barovero made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Sigfrido Auletta sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juan Funes in the 58th minute of play forced Italy's goalkeeper Flavio Vittori to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, River CBBA's Marcelo Barovero got control of the ball when Zaccheo Andolina tried to sneak it across the goal line. Matías Almeida hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. After 67 played minutes River CBBA got a freekick which was hit by Matías Almeida. Marcelo Barovero made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Porziano Marchitelli sent off a good shot on target. When Endura Abechuco came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the River CBBA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Endura Abechuco couldn't finish the play. Italy's Sansone Vanella was substituted for Gianpaolo Mascari. With a little luck, River CBBA's Marcelo Barovero got control of the ball when Porziano Marchitelli tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 90th minute of the match, Adriano Curto tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Marcelo Barovero saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After having played for 95 minutes, Juan Funes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. River CBBA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Juan Funes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the final whistle sounded Italy left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than River CBBA.
