Keld Paulsen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Atletico Nacional. In the 29th match minute, Denmark was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Theis Winther to maneuver through the defense. If Rutenio Galdamiz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Club Atletico Nacional's Ildefonso Orense got a free kick in the 37th minute. After 38 played minutes, Denmark's Chris Nygaard shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gora Argandona came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Denmark reached it. After 42 played minutes Club Atletico Nacional got a freekick which was hit by Sever Rădescu. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Chris Nygaard in the 48th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gora Argandona prevented the ball from getting in the gole.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Chris Nygaard made a kick off. Chris Nygaard in the 54thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Gora Argandona, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The audience was convinced that Chris Nygaard's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gora Argandona was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. Sever Rădescu hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Bertram Svenningsen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gora Argandona having to interfere. 85 minutes into the match, Club Atletico Nacional's goalkeeper Gora Argandona had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bertram Svenningsen. When Tiago Ozuna came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Club Atletico Nacional fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tiago Ozuna couldn't finish the play. Chris Nygaard might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gora Argandona. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Chris Nygaard ran back to his position shaking his head.
