In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Slovakia's goalkeeper Henrich Slany, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Henrich Slany made a fantastic save in the 5th minute, when Roman Pitin sent off a good shot on target. 7 minutes into the match, Slovakia's goalkeeper Henrich Slany had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Codrin Matei. After a rather tough play, S.C. Potentia's Ramazan Mirza got a free kick in the 10th minute. Mathijs Tevreden showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pavol Koleno, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. 14 minutes into the game, S.C. Potentia's Roman Pitin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Henrich Slany made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Herbert Gabler got a throw-in 16 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Jurgen Planting. 27 minutes into the game, Oliver Holub was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Slovakia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave S.C. Potentia the free kick. In the 27th minute, Oliver Holub hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Roman Pitin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Henrich Slany made a huge save. Henrich Slany was out of position in the 32 minute of play, and Codrin Matei capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Codrin Matei really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. Henrich Slany showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Codrin Matei, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. The audience was convinced that Roman Pitin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Henrich Slany was relentless in the 46th minute of the game. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Roman Pitin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Codrin Matei in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Henrich Slany saved Slovakia from getting behind. 56 minutes into the game, Roman Pitin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Henrich Slany was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 59th minute, Ondrej Biskup hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Codrin Matei in the 61st minute of play forced Slovakia's goalkeeper Henrich Slany to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 63 minutes, Codrin Matei made it 7-0 with a short kick to the right side. Slovakia's Henrich Slany tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 69 minutes of play, S.C. Potentia's Codrin Matei made it 8-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Henrich Slany was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 72nd minute Roman Pitin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henrich Slany saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 78th match minute, S.C. Potentia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Herbert Gabler to maneuver through the defense. After 81 minutes of play, S.C. Potentia's Codrin Matei made it 9-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Henrich Slany was left in no man's land by his defense there! Roman Pitin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Henrich Slany having to make a save. After a rather tough play, S.C. Potentia's Anton Rovsing got a free kick in the 94th minute. In the 96th minute, Jan Rein Roetering made a precise shot to the right of Henrich Slany. Slovakia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 10-0.
