Bohumir Kohout kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. In the 4th match minute, Czech Republic was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dalimil Charvat to maneuver through the defense. Vavrinec Holub didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sever Rădescu went, in the 5th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Club Atletico Nacional's Pes Pliego got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Erik Jilek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 11th match minute, Czech Republic was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dalimil Charvat to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Czech Republic's Vavrinec Holub got control of the ball when Tiago Ozuna tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 14 minutes of play, Club Atletico Nacional's Chris Mahler made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vavrinec Holub was left in no man's land by his defense there! After having played for 16 minutes, Erik Jilek managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Czech Republic's supporters crossed their fingers, but Erik Jilek was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 19th minute, Aurre Prelo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gora Argandona showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erik Jilek, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. 27 minutes into the game, Club Atletico Nacional's Tiago Ozuna nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vavrinec Holub made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Vavrinec Holub made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sever Rădescu in the 32nd minute of play. 37 minutes into the match, Czech Republic's goalkeeper Vavrinec Holub had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Frutos Baltanas. In the 39th minute, Sever Rădescu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vavrinec Holub was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. After a rather tough play, Czech Republic's Svatopluk Capek got a free kick in the 42nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erik Jilek in the 45th minute of play forced Club Atletico Nacional's goalkeeper Gora Argandona to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Denis Dostal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

Gora Argandona made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Erik Jilek sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the Czech Republic defense, Chris Mahler kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vavrinec Holub. The Czech Republic fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vavrinec Holub should have stopped the shot. In the 58th minute, Rutenio Galdamiz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vavrinec Holub was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. Tiago Ozuna might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vavrinec Holub. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tiago Ozuna ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 64th minute Tiago Ozuna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vavrinec Holub saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Rutenio Galdamiz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Atletico Nacional's supporters rose to their feet, but Rutenio Galdamiz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vavrinec Holub breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
