Torbjörn Tunberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Arnout Reekers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 13th minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mariusz Bejgier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hagfors's Mariusz Bejgier proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Hagfors from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Colas Morales in the 22nd minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 24 minutes had been played when some careless play by Netherlands's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Herminio Emmanuel was slow to take the kick. During this time Hagfors's players had a chance to rest. Hagfors's Mariusz Bejgier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lars Meesters in the 25th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 27 minutes, Mariusz Bejgier successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Gustaaf Groeneveldt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mariusz Bejgier having to interfere. In the 32nd minute, Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gijsbert ter Kruimer made a kick off. Gijsbert ter Kruimer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 50th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mariusz Bejgier having to interfere. If Gijsbert ter Kruimer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wim Wilmes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Torbjörn Tunberg hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. In the 65th minute Gustaaf Groeneveldt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mariusz Bejgier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Hagfors getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Herminio Emmanuel hit a great ball. Wim Wilmes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mariusz Bejgier having to interfere. Arnout Reekers made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Herminio Emmanuel sent off a good shot on target. Gijsbert ter Kruimer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Herminio Emmanuel in the 80th minute of play. Hagfors's Mariusz Bejgier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wim Wilmes in the 81st minute of play. Torbjörn Tunberg hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Mariusz Bejgier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 86th minute of the match. After 89 played minutes Hagfors got a freekick which was hit by Boris Berglund. After 91 minutes of play, Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mariusz Bejgier was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 94th minute, Wim Wilmes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Netherlands fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1.
