Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Fulgencio Ferrer made the kick off which started today's match. Daniel Igon made an important save on a dangerous shot by Frank Peletier in the 6th minute. 8 minutes into the match, France's goal looked a bit too open when Fulgencio Ferrer came free, but Maxime Durand reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Campeones del Mundo's Fulgencio Ferrer in the 10th minute got a chance for a shot 10th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye France's goalie prevented a goal. In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind Campeones del Mundo's goalkeeper Daniel Igon, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Daniel Igon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Camille Baume in the 15th minute of play. Maxime Durand didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fulgencio Ferrer went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Maxime Durand stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fulgencio Ferrer's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. A throw-in in the 41st minute of the game was made by Ladislao Fraco with Emilio Sugoi as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. 42 minutes into the match, France's goal looked a bit too open when Fulgencio Ferrer came free, but Maxime Durand reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 47 minutes of play, Campeones del Mundo's Fulgencio Ferrer made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Maxime Durand was left in no man's land by his defense there! After the first half Campeones del Mundo were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Frank Peletier stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Campeones del Mundo booed when France was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Remy Dupuy didn't get a good kick on the ball. Grant Verga hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Daniel Igon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Camille Baume in the 63rd minute of play. Maxime Durand made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fulgencio Ferrer in the 65th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 67 minutes, Fulgencio Ferrer put it in 1-4 from a short distance just to the right of Maxime Durand. After 74 played minutes France got a freekick which was hit by Frank Peletier. Campeones del Mundo were awarded a corner in the 82th minute after France's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Guillermo Gorosti took the corner. When the match had gone on for 83 minutes, Fulgencio Ferrer took a quick shot and it went in 2-5 without a chance for Maxime Durand to make any attempt to save it. Camille Baume's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Daniel Igon read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. Daniel Igon didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Robert Chapuis went, in the 91st minute, to the upper right corner, 3-5 was the resulting score. If Guillermo Gorosti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Fulgencio Ferrer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Campeones del Mundo's supporters rose to their feet, but Fulgencio Ferrer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maxime Durand breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see France lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
