Vancouver Whitecaps's 김 황 proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Vancouver Whitecaps from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by 김 최 in the 36th minute of play forced England's goalkeeper Khalid Kennedy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 39th minute, England's Micah Macdonald dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. 박 궉 hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. 김 황 didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Micah Macdonald went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kyle Cox to make the kick off. Caelan Hayes took the ball and in the 51 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised 김 황. 김 황 dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. If 김 최 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 61st minute, Issac Dawson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The England fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. 64 minutes into the match, Vancouver Whitecaps's goal looked a bit too open when Kyle Cox came free, but 김 황 reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Khalid Kennedy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 박 궉 in the 65th minute of the match. 67 minutes into the match, Vancouver Whitecaps's 김 최 sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Khalid Kennedy narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Vancouver Whitecaps's 김 황 played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kyle Cox in the 69th minute of play. England were awarded a corner in the 70th minute after Vancouver Whitecaps's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Micah Macdonald took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Quinn Holmes got away a dangerous shot. Despite this 김 황 quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 김 황 showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Micah Macdonald in the 72nd minute of the match. 김 후's late challenge caught a England's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. 김 후 helped the player get up and apologised. In the 80th match minute, Vancouver Whitecaps was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by 김 후 to maneuver through the defense. 김 최 fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Khalid Kennedy having to interfere. In the 84th match minute, Vancouver Whitecaps was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by 박 궉 to maneuver through the defense. Cooper Thompson's late challenge caught a Vancouver Whitecaps's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cooper Thompson helped the player get up and apologised. Cooper Thompson kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. In the 91st minute, 김 온 fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Khalid Kennedy, passed just outside the right post. Khalid Kennedy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 김 온, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Vancouver Whitecaps getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. 박 계 hit a great ball. England's Micah Macdonald got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. There was no doubt that England were the better team. England's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
