Jehad Listiyantoro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chris Nygaard in the 10th minute of play. Denmark's attentive Olav Graversen managed to snatch the ball when Sultan Tingkir made a throw-in in the 11th minute of the game. Bertram Svenningsen took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jehad Listiyantoro. Jehad Listiyantoro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. The audience was convinced that Rully Lasut's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Keld Paulsen was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. The throw-in from Sultan Tingkir in the 22nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Denmark's Olav Graversen. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Bertram Svenningsen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Denmark's supporters rose to their feet, but Bertram Svenningsen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jehad Listiyantoro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind Java's goalkeeper Jehad Listiyantoro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ari Sapulette fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Keld Paulsen having to interfere. In the 36th match minute, Java was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mukti Giro to maneuver through the defense. In the 39th minute of the match Denmark got a corner. Java's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Chris Nygaard ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Chris Nygaard almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Java's Jehad Listiyantoro did a great save. Jehad Listiyantoro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chris Nygaard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Java booed when Denmark was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bjarne Kirkegaard didn't get a good kick on the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Chris Nygaard stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jehad Listiyantoro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chris Nygaard in the 52nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Java's Mukti Giro got a free kick in the 66th minute. Awa Wenas's late challenge caught a Denmark's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Awa Wenas helped the player get up and apologised. Denmark's Malthe Lassen was substituted for Bertram Svenningsen. Awa Wenas kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. The supporters of Denmark booed when Java was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mukti Giro didn't get a good kick on the ball.
