The supporters of Spartans FC booed when Slovakia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vavrinec Koleno didn't get a good kick on the ball. Amado Dagorret was slow to take the kick. During this time Spartans FC's players had a chance to rest. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 7-0.

Eugenios Spetsarias hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Slovakia defense, Hugo Guerra kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Henrich Slany. The Slovakia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Henrich Slany should have stopped the shot. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Spartans FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
