After a rather tough play, Netherlands's Mathijn Doctor got a free kick in the 4th minute. After 5 played minutes, Centeno's Abelardo Bernabel shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Arnout Reekers came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Centeno reached it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Wim Wilmes got free with Ambrosio Dacio in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 15th minute, David Eikelkamp hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Centeno's Ambrosio Dacio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wim Wilmes in the 17th minute of play. After some careless play in the Centeno defense, Wim Wilmes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ambrosio Dacio. The Centeno fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ambrosio Dacio should have stopped the shot. Through an outstanding action, after 25 minutes, Ambrosio Dacio successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Hakan Kaan kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. In the 31st minute Toro Halland shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abelardo Bernabel in the 32nd minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abelardo Bernabel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mathijn Doctor's late challenge caught a Centeno's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mathijn Doctor helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Centeno booed when Netherlands was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mathijn Doctor didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 44th minute, Egbert Nijveldt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Abelardo Bernabel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abelardo Bernabel in the 53rd minute of play. When the match had gone on for 56 minutes, Gijsbert ter Kruimer put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Ambrosio Dacio. In the 60th minute Gustaaf Groeneveldt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ambrosio Dacio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hakan Kaan in the 62nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lars Meesters in the 65th minute of play forced Centeno's goalkeeper Ambrosio Dacio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arnout Reekers made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hakan Kaan in the 67th minute. In the 70th minute of the match, Abelardo Bernabel tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Arnout Reekers saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Ambrosio Dacio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 71st minute of the match. Herbert Skrzypiec kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Ambrosio Dacio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 73rd minute of play. Ambrosio Dacio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wim Wilmes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee felt a red card was in order, 78 minutes into the game, when Egbert Nijveldt put in a rough tackle. In a very dangerous position, a player in Netherlands fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 77th minute. Penalty! Centeno's Esteve Jurdan was substituted for Abelardo Bernabel. With an all-out effort, Centeno's Arnout Reekers threw himself towards the right post 84 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Victorio Matai, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Toro Halland's late challenge caught a Netherlands's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The Centeno fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ambrosio Dacio should have stopped the shot. 95 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Hakan Kaan came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arnout Reekers didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Toro Halland went, in the 98th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Netherlands had played much better football throughout.
