In the 10th match minute, Denmark was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chris Nygaard to maneuver through the defense. Keld Paulsen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Călin Itoafă in the 11th minute. A throw-in in the 13th minute of the game was made by Călin Popârcea with Călin Itoafă as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Damian Macovei made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mikkel Wulff in the 19th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Chris Nygaard in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Damian Macovei saved -BZF- Valea Buzăului from getting behind. 26 minutes into the game, Călin Popârcea was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. -BZF- Valea Buzăului's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Denmark the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 25th minute of the game. One of -BZF- Valea Buzăului:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Denmark:s goal. The referee gave Denmark a penalty, 27 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Chris Nygaard, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of -BZF- Valea Buzăului's Damian Macovei. 0-1. Călin Popârcea kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Mikkel Wulff blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Damian Macovei having to make a save. Keld Paulsen made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Cosmin Iancu sent off a good shot on target. The -BZF- Valea Buzăului players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Denmark were winning 0-1.

Keld Paulsen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dănuț Roman in the 55th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Denmark's zone, Călin Itoafă stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Keld Paulsen came out of the goal and Călin Itoafă tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Călin Itoafă fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Keld Paulsen having to interfere. A hard shot 61 in the game by Chris Nygaard from a close distance when the talented Damian Macovei managed to make a qualified save. -BZF- Valea Buzăului's players were relieved. Damian Macovei took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bertram Svenningsen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Keld Paulsen made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The -BZF- Valea Buzăului fans cheered their team off the field, for while Denmark had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
