Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Toni Mauzer started the match with the kick off. After having played for 2 minutes, Tarcisio Fantini managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Clube de Regatas Flalengo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tarcisio Fantini was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Toni Mauzer in the 4th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jeferson de Lima prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Martin Bosak's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jeferson de Lima read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 6th minute of play. In the 9th minute, Luiz Fabiano Damião hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 13th minute, Luiz Fabiano de Sena got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 15th minute Luiz Fabiano de Sena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ilija Skugor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Clube de Regatas Flalengo's goalkeeper Jeferson de Lima, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 18th match minute, Clube de Regatas Flalengo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emanuel Souto to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Clube de Regatas Flalengo getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Silvinho Soeiro hit a great ball. Ilija Skugor didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tarcisio Fantini went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 27th minute, Martin Bosak made a precise shot to the right of Jeferson de Lima. Clube de Regatas Flalengo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. In the 37th minute Luiz Fabiano de Sena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ilija Skugor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ilija Skugor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tarcisio Fantini, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Croatia's Ilija Skugor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tarcisio Fantini in the 41st minute of play. Clube de Regatas Flalengo's Jeferson de Lima played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martin Bosak in the 42nd minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lenílson Soeiro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52ndth minute of the game Luiz Fabiano de Sena who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Croatia's Ilija Skugor was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 60th minute Luiz Fabiano de Sena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ilija Skugor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 62nd minute, Clube de Regatas Flalengo's Lenílson Soeiro ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ilija Skugor. Ilija Skugor yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. If Lenílson Soeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tarcisio Fantini got free with Ilija Skugor in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Luiz Fabiano de Sena came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Clube de Regatas Flalengo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luiz Fabiano de Sena couldn't finish the play. Ilija Skugor came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by Clube de Regatas Flalengo's Lenílson Soeiro. But to his dismay, Lenílson Soeiro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. 77 minutes into the game, Tarcisio Fantini cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Ilija Skugor was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a little luck, Croatia's Ilija Skugor got control of the ball when Tarcisio Fantini tried to sneak it across the goal line. Lenílson Soeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Ilija Skugor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Clube de Regatas Flalengo getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Christiano Pitta hit a great ball. Clube de Regatas Flalengo's Luiz Fabiano de Sena got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luiz Fabiano de Sena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 95th match minute, Croatia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eduard Kostelac to maneuver through the defense. Clube de Regatas Flalengo played a much better game than Croatia and deserved their victory. The Croatia players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
