Samuele Kunz started the match with the kick off. Nilson Esteves's late challenge caught a Switzerland's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nilson Esteves helped the player get up and apologised. Nilson Esteves kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. Switzerland's Timo Siegmund managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Guto Rocha in the 6 minute of the game. Hias Nüssli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nilson Esteves in the 7th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Switzerland defense, Narciso de Carvalho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hias Nüssli. The Switzerland fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hias Nüssli should have stopped the shot. In the 15thth minute of the game Nilson Esteves who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Switzerland's Hias Nüssli was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Hias Nüssli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nilson Esteves in the 19th minute of the match. Samuele Kunz hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Nilson Esteves's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hias Nüssli was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. After 26 played minutes Brasilino got a freekick which was hit by Benjamin Vasconcelos. In the 28th minute Samuele Kunz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jean da Silva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jacinto Maurer hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. A collision led to Switzerland getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Jacinto Maurer hit a great ball. Jacinto Maurer charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jacinto Maurer the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Bernardo Porto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hias Nüssli having to make a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nilson Esteves got free with Hias Nüssli in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 78 minutes into the game, Gustav Iseli was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Switzerland's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Brasilino the free kick. The supporters of Brasilino booed when Switzerland was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gustav Iseli didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 79th match minute, Brasilino was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nilson Esteves to maneuver through the defense. Switzerland's Hias Nüssli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nilson Esteves in the 83rd minute of play. When Jacinto Maurer was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 85 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, Switzerland's Jacinto Maurer got a free kick in the 85th minute. A sloppy throw-in by Guto Rocha in the 91st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Switzerland's Levi von Herren. 96 minutes into the game, Guto Rocha threw the ball into play from the sideline. Switzerland's Timo Siegmund quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Switzerland were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Brasilino to leave the ground with a draw.
