In the 5th match minute, The Underdogs was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Piearres Olalla to maneuver through the defense. Jan Wessel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Viriato Moura, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Jan Wessel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Caetano Moreira in the 75th minute of play. If Felipinho Amorim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Felipinho Amorim came free with the goalkeeper in the 79th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jan Wessel could save by the left post. Portugal's attentive Daniel Pimentel managed to snatch the ball when Frank de Boer made a throw-in in the 81st minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Caetano Moreira in the 83rd minute of play forced The Underdogs's goalkeeper Jan Wessel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 89 minutes into the match, The Underdogs's goal looked a bit too open when Bartolomeu Dias came free, but Jan Wessel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Underdogs's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bartolomeu Dias was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. The Underdogs's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
