Fauna Utd's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zaccheo Andolina was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Fauna Utd's Yuri Portugal was substituted for Lorenzo Garaona. In the 9th minute Unai Sócrates shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flavio Vittori saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 12 minutes into the match, Italy's Zaccheo Andolina sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Radamel Hendrickx narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Italy's Flavio Vittori proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Italy from getting a goal against them. In the 15th minute, Unai Sócrates ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Flavio Vittori was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. A sloppy throw-in by Harry Maguire in the 22nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Italy's Siricio Liotta. Karel Cromefeldt's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Flavio Vittori firmly grabbed it by the left post. 24 minutes into the game, Harry Maguire threw the ball into play from the sideline. Italy's Eliseo Cutri quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Radamel Hendrickx showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sigfrido Auletta, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. 27 minutes into the match, Italy's Zaccheo Andolina sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Radamel Hendrickx narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Radamel Hendrickx took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zaccheo Andolina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zaccheo Andolina in the 40th minute of play forced Fauna Utd's goalkeeper Radamel Hendrickx to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fauna Utd's Radamel Hendrickx played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zaccheo Andolina in the 45th minute of play. Flavio Vittori took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Unai Sócrates, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Unai Sócrates's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Flavio Vittori read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. Unai Sócrates was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Unai Sócrates took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Flavio Vittori. Flavio Vittori dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Radamel Hendrickx showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sigfrido Auletta in the 65th minute of the match. 70 minutes into the match, Italy's goal looked a bit too open when Unai Sócrates came free, but Flavio Vittori reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Teodoro Esquipula made in the 74th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Italy's Siricio Liotta. In the 78th minute, 苏军扬 hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Unai Sócrates received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Flavio Vittori tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Italy made a substitution. Guiscardo Davide replaced Sigfrido Auletta. 86 minutes had been played when some careless play by Fauna Utd's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Siricio Liotta was slow to take the kick. During this time Italy's players had a chance to rest. The throw-in from Yuri Portugal in the 87th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Italy's Deodato Magliozzi. In the 90th minute Adriano Curto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Radamel Hendrickx saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Fauna Utd were victorious despite being under pressure from Italy for much of the match.
