Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Mauro Milano started the match with the kick off. In the 5th minute, Mikael Hammarbäck left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The El Branca del Vieja fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Belgium's attentive Floris Claeys managed to snatch the ball when Wilfredo Laffitte made a throw-in in the 9th minute of the game. Fidel Marques made in the 12th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Mikael Hammarbäck immediately put the ball in play. Belgium's Casper Claes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mauro Milano in the 13th minute of play. After 14 minutes Belgium's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Fabian Maldonado who took care of the corner kick. After some careless play in the Belgium defense, Mikael Hammarbäck kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Casper Claes. The Belgium fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Casper Claes should have stopped the shot. Belgium's Casper Claes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mikael Hammarbäck in the 21st minute of play. The corner ended in Fabian Maldonado almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Belgium's Casper Claes did a great save. In the 26th minute, Mikael Hammarbäck ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Casper Claes was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Mauro Milano might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Casper Claes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mauro Milano ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 28th minute Mauro Milano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Casper Claes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. El Branca del Vieja's Genaro Ponciano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save El Branca del Vieja from getting a goal against them. Edward Vanderstraeten came free with the goalkeeper in the 35th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Genaro Ponciano could save by the left post. 36 minutes into the match, El Branca del Vieja's Mikael Hammarbäck sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Casper Claes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Wilfredo Laffitte kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mikael Hammarbäck in the 41st minute of play forced Belgium's goalkeeper Casper Claes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Mikael Hammarbäck came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the El Branca del Vieja fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mikael Hammarbäck couldn't finish the play. Genaro Ponciano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Yves Dervaux in the 46th minute. 46 minutes into the match, El Branca del Vieja's goalkeeper Genaro Ponciano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Yves Dervaux. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 46th minute of play forced El Branca del Vieja's goalkeeper Genaro Ponciano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Edward Vanderstraeten made a kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Mauro Milano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Casper Claes. Belgium's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mauro Milano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. Genaro Ponciano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edward Vanderstraeten's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. Genaro Ponciano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edward Vanderstraeten in the 59th minute of the match. Floris Claeys made in the 61st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by El Branca del Vieja's Wilfredo Laffitte. 64 minutes into the match, El Branca del Vieja's Mikael Hammarbäck sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Casper Claes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Casper Claes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mikael Hammarbäck in the 82nd minute of play. In the 85th minute, El Branca del Vieja's Mikael Hammarbäck dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-5. Mikael Hammarbäck recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Edward Vanderstraeten blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Genaro Ponciano having to make a save. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Belgium lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
