With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Clemente Savier saved ☣ⓇⓄⒸⓀⒺⓉ   -⃝ⓅⓄⓌⒺⓇ☣ from getting behind. In the 5th minute Cristopher Damian shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 8th minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer made a precise shot to the right of Clemente Savier. ☣ⓇⓄⒸⓀⒺⓉ   -⃝ⓅⓄⓌⒺⓇ☣'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rodrigo Barrera got free with Arnout Reekers in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 13th minute of play forced ☣ⓇⓄⒸⓀⒺⓉ   -⃝ⓅⓄⓌⒺⓇ☣'s goalkeeper Clemente Savier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 18 minutes into the match, ☣ⓇⓄⒸⓀⒺⓉ   -⃝ⓅⓄⓌⒺⓇ☣'s goal looked a bit too open when Gustaaf Groeneveldt came free, but Clemente Savier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 21st minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clemente Savier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Clemente Savier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Gustaaf Groeneveldt scored 0-2 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Clemente Savier, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristopher Damian in the 28th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gijsbert ter Kruimer blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Clemente Savier having to make a save. Clemente Savier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A nice corner shot did that Gijsbert ter Kruimer got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Clemente Savier quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save.

Gustaaf Groeneveldt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clemente Savier having to interfere. Clemente Savier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 60th minute of the match. 61 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Cristopher Damian came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in ☣ⓇⓄⒸⓀⒺⓉ   -⃝ⓅⓄⓌⒺⓇ☣'s zone, Wim Wilmes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Clemente Savier came out of the goal and Wim Wilmes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. ☣ⓇⓄⒸⓀⒺⓉ   -⃝ⓅⓄⓌⒺⓇ☣'s Clemente Savier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 66th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 70th minute of play forced ☣ⓇⓄⒸⓀⒺⓉ   -⃝ⓅⓄⓌⒺⓇ☣'s goalkeeper Clemente Savier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 73rd minute Marcelo Salas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabriel Olivar in the 76th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcelo Salas in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arnout Reekers saved Netherlands from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 76 minutes, Marcelo Salas put it in 1-2 from a short distance just to the right of Arnout Reekers. Wim Wilmess short, quick shot in the 82ndth minute got Clemente Savier to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ubarna Marcos, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ubarna Marcos in the 85th minute of play. After a rather tough play, ☣ⓇⓄⒸⓀⒺⓉ   -⃝ⓅⓄⓌⒺⓇ☣'s Jerônimo Paes got a free kick in the 86th minute. Gijsbert ter Kruimer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 87th match minute, Netherlands was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lars Meesters to maneuver through the defense. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcelo Salas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When ☣ⓇⓄⒸⓀⒺⓉ   -⃝ⓅⓄⓌⒺⓇ☣'s Marcelo Salas, in the 90th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for ☣ⓇⓄⒸⓀⒺⓉ   -⃝ⓅⓄⓌⒺⓇ☣. After a rather tough play, Netherlands's Mathijn Doctor got a free kick in the 94th minute. The Netherlands players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
