Aurora FC's Rune Myr got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 7 minutes, Thiago Botelho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Aurora FC and the Denmark players grew even worse after the yellow card. Thiago Botelho kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Denmark's Keld Paulsen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gonçalo Mattos in the 10th minute of play. 12 minutes into the match, Aurora FC's goal looked a bit too open when Chris Nygaard came free, but Adilson das Neves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Denmark's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Chris Nygaard in the 13th minute. Zé Zanette could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Keld Paulsen made a huge save. Aurora FC's Aníbal Pernambucano was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Keld Paulsen in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 23 played minutes Denmark got a freekick which was hit by Lars Steen. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rune Myr got free with Keld Paulsen in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Denmark's defense didn't have a chance, in the 41st minute, when Zé Zanette scored to the left of an out of position Keld Paulsen, making the score, 2-1. Gonçalo Mattos hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Chris Nygaard to make the kick off. Denmark's Mikkel Wulff got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Denmark were awarded a corner in the 54th minute after Aurora FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Chris Nygaard took the corner. In the 55th minute, Gonçalo Mattos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Keld Paulsen was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. The supporters of Aurora FC booed when Denmark was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bjarne Kirkegaard didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind Denmark's goalkeeper Keld Paulsen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Denmark's Chris Nygaard got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Adilson das Neves was out of position in the 68 minute of play, and Chris Nygaard capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Chris Nygaard really showed his touch with that goal: 3-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Chris Nygaard in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Adilson das Neves prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Chris Nygaard's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Adilson das Neves read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. 79 minutes into the match, Aurora FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mikkel Wulff came free, but Adilson das Neves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gonçalo Mattos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Keld Paulsen having to interfere. In the 82nd match minute, Aurora FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gonçalo Mattos to maneuver through the defense. Chris Nygaard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 90 minutes into the match, Denmark's goal looked a bit too open when Rune Myr came free, but Keld Paulsen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 91 minutes of play, Aurora FC's Rune Myr made it 4-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Keld Paulsen was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 95 minutes, Chris Nygaard made it 4-3 with a short kick to the right side. Aurora FC's Adilson das Neves tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When the referee blew the final whistle, Aurora FC could leave the field as winners, despite Denmark having more of the ball for most of the match.
