Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Salvador Hats started the match with the kick off. When the match had gone on for 5 minutes, Gustaaf Groeneveldt took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Santos Orlan to make any attempt to save it. Santos Orlan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Salvador Hats in the 12th minute of play. If Wim Wilmes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 15th minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santos Orlan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Santos Orlan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. In the 21st minute of the match Netherlands got a corner. El Fortín de Floresta's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gijsbert ter Kruimer ran over to the corner to take the kick. 23 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Lucio Stanislao came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 24th match minute, El Fortín de Floresta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristo Orlan to maneuver through the defense. 27 minutes into the match, El Fortín de Floresta's goal looked a bit too open when Wim Wilmes came free, but Santos Orlan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 28th minute of the match Netherlands got a corner. El Fortín de Floresta's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. The corner ended in Gijsbert ter Kruimer almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but El Fortín de Floresta's Santos Orlan did a great save. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Flavio Luar, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. A collision led to Netherlands getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Gijsbert ter Kruimer hit a great ball. Gustaaf Groeneveldt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santos Orlan having to interfere. In the 47th minute, Wim Wilmes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gijsbert ter Kruimer made a kick off. In the 52nd minute Gustaaf Groeneveldt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santos Orlan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 60 minutes into the match, El Fortín de Floresta's goal looked a bit too open when Gijsbert ter Kruimer came free, but Santos Orlan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Santos Orlan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 65th minute of the match. Gustaaf Groeneveldt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santos Orlan having to interfere. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Desiderio Brais in the 68th minute of play. Wim Wilmes scored 2-0 in the 69th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Santos Orlan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Salvador Hats in the 75th minute of play. Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Netherlands booed when El Fortín de Floresta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Inocencio Lixandro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Netherlands's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 81st minute. Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
