Sigfrido Auletta was slow to take the kick. During this time Italy's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Italy's Sigfrido Auletta to fire away a dangerous shot which Bennvar Noobel despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zaccheo Andolina in the 24th minute of play forced Seraċini Għawdxin's goalkeeper Bennvar Noobel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 44th minute, Eliseo Cutri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Seraċini Għawdxin's Adam Jansson got a free kick in the 45th minute. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Song Wei Yun in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Flavio Vittori prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Zaccheo Andolina had several of the Seraċini Għawdxin's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 53 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-3 score and a disappointed Bennvar Noobel as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 75th minute Sigfrido Auletta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bennvar Noobel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 76thth minute of the game Andrea Pirlo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Italy's Flavio Vittori was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Victor Hugo Basso made in the 79th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Andrea Pirlo immediately put the ball in play. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind Seraċini Għawdxin's goalkeeper Bennvar Noobel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 88 minutes into the game, Zaccheo Andolina recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Bennvar Noobel. Zaccheo Andolina showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-4. Italy's Sansone Vanella was substituted for Gianpaolo Mascari. Italy made a substitution. Adriano Curto replaced Zaccheo Andolina. Italy's Guiscardo Davide was substituted for Sigfrido Auletta. In the 92nd minute, Gomberto Picozzi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Seraċini Għawdxin fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Italy were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
