Maxime Durand breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 27 minutes, Bengt-Arne Thedin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Metapalo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bengt-Arne Thedin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match clock showed 28 minutes, the score became 1-3 when Roni Arisandy sped through France's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Maxime Durand. Frank Peletier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Gavino Belarmo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Metapalo FC's Jorge Bermudez got a free kick in the 38th minute. Frank Peletier could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Gavino Belarmo made a huge save. Gavino Belarmo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Frank Peletier in the 41st minute. After some careless play in the France defense, Roni Arisandy kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Maxime Durand. The France fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Maxime Durand should have stopped the shot. Maxime Durand took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bengt-Arne Thedin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Metapalo FC's Domingo Beltza got a free kick in the 72nd minute. In the 75th minute the ball was on its way in behind France's goalkeeper Maxime Durand, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. France's Maxime Durand proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save France from getting a goal against them. The France supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Metapalo FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Metapalo FC.
