Benjamin Domazet charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Ilija Skugor made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Thanks to some nice moves Toninho Lira could shoot a difficult shot in the 67th minute, which Ilija Skugor however easily saved by the left post. Ilija Skugor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eusébio Quirino in the 70th minute of play. Célio Ceresso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martin Bosak, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. In the 79th minute Toninho Lira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ilija Skugor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 80 minutes into the match, Croatia's goal looked a bit too open when Toninho Lira came free, but Ilija Skugor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 87th minute, Lino das Neves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Célio Ceresso didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Martin Bosak went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. 95 minutes into the match, Croatia's goal looked a bit too open when Toninho Lira came free, but Ilija Skugor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
