Jerônimo da Cunha acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 4th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Felipe Barreto. An unexpectedly hard shot by Atacan Rahim in the 6th minute of play forced Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Atacan Rahim's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wilson Amorim read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. In the 10th minute of the match Elite™- FC Galácticos got a corner. Portugal's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Nikos Kladogennis ran over to the corner to take the kick. Elite™- FC Galácticos's Nikos Kladogennis was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Wilson Amorim in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 12 minutes, Atacan Rahim made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Portugal's Wilson Amorim tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 23 minutes into the match, Elite™- FC Galácticos's goal looked a bit too open when Viriato Moura came free, but Jerônimo da Cunha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Elite™- FC Galácticos fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Atacan Rahim might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Wilson Amorim. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Atacan Rahim ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 76th minute Gino Monteiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Portugal's Wilson Amorim got control of the ball when Silvério Vale tried to sneak it across the goal line. Silvério Vale took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wilson Amorim. Wilson Amorim dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-6. When Elite™- FC Galácticos's Gino Monteiro in the 84th minute got a chance for a shot 84th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 87th minute, Elite™- FC Galácticos's Cosme Dighero ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Wilson Amorim. Wilson Amorim yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-7. Wilson Amorim made an important save on a dangerous shot by Silvério Vale in the 89th minute.
