In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Italy's goalkeeper Flavio Vittori, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 43rd minute, Zena Busacca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Inácio Cosme made in the 52nd minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Luiz Paulo Seco. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zaccheo Andolina in the 55th minute of play forced Elite™- FC Galácticos's goalkeeper Jerônimo da Cunha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Elite™- FC Galácticos's goalkeeper Jerônimo da Cunha, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jerônimo da Cunha yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-1. Porziano Marchitelli's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jerônimo da Cunha read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. Jerônimo da Cunha made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zaccheo Andolina in the 83rd minute. Italy's Flavio Vittori played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silvério Vale in the 87th minute of play.
