If Emiliano Mikelar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 13 minutes Italy's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ovidio Jokin who took care of the corner kick. Luis Mejía took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zaccheo Andolina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Flavio Vittori made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Ivan Nisio sent off a good shot on target. Melchor Garoa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Flavio Vittori having to make a save. 25 minutes into the game, Italy's Zaccheo Andolina nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Luis Mejía made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Luis Mejía showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zaccheo Andolina in the 28th minute of the match. In the 29th minute of the match Italy got a corner. ✰VILLA SARMIENTO✰'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Sigfrido Auletta ran over to the corner to take the kick. A sloppy throw-in by Filomeno Birjaio in the 31st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Italy's Siricio Liotta. Luis Mejía showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zaccheo Andolina, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The ✰VILLA SARMIENTO✰ players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Italy were winning 0-2.

When the match had gone on for 52 minutes, Siricio Liotta took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Luis Mejía to make any attempt to save it. In the 69th minute, ✰VILLA SARMIENTO✰'s goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Porziano Marchitelli fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Siricio Liotta was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 75th minute. Italy's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The throw-in from Roland Schiavi in the 78th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Italy's Siricio Liotta. Luis Mejía made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Zaccheo Andolina sent off a good shot on target. Flavio Vittori made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Semih Recai in the 83rd minute of play. Luis Mejía made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sigfrido Auletta in the 87th minute. In the 89th minute Semih Recai shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flavio Vittori saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Flavio Vittori prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Flavio Vittori showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Semih Recai in the 96th minute of the match. Italy made a substitution. Guiscardo Davide replaced Sigfrido Auletta. In the 98th minute of the match ✰VILLA SARMIENTO✰ got a corner. Italy's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ovidio Jokin ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Ovidio Jokin got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Flavio Vittori quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When the match was over Italy could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than ✰VILLA SARMIENTO✰ throughout the match.
