Spectators: 49 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) France's Frank Peletier started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Manly FC booed when France was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robert Chapuis didn't get a good kick on the ball. France's Frank Peletier got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Manly FC's Nilson Snabl got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alexander Arnold made in the 13th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Clifford Hamilton however managed to control. 17 minutes into the game, Frank Peletier cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Ray Clemence was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Duke Carnduff kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. 26 minutes into the match, Manly FC's goalkeeper Ray Clemence had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Frank Peletier. In the 28th minute of the game Alexander Arnold made a throw-in which Clifford Hamilton played forward. France's Maxime Durand played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by John Aldridge in the 29th minute of play. John Aldridge fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maxime Durand having to interfere. After 33 minutes of play, Manly FC's Mo Salah made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Maxime Durand was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 36th minute John Aldridge shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maxime Durand saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If John Aldridge had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 43rd match minute, France was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexis Bruneau to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mo Salah in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Maxime Durand saved France from getting behind.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mo Salah in the 51st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Maxime Durand prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Frank Peletier hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Maxime Durand came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by Manly FC's Mo Salah. But to his dismay, Mo Salah quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Manly FC made a substitution. Carmichael Carbery replaced John Aldridge. 67 minutes into the game, Nilson Snabl threw the ball into play from the sideline. France's Remy Dupuy quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Mo Salah's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 70thth minute, Maxime Durand skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Maxime Durand showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mo Salah in the 72nd minute of the match. Maxime Durand was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Neville Byrnes showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 74 minute of play. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind Manly FC's goalkeeper Ray Clemence, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Carmichael Carbery had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mo Salah in the 82ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Maxime Durand, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Camille Baume hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. France's attentive Remy Dupuy managed to snatch the ball when Alexander Arnold made a throw-in in the 85th minute of the game. With a little luck, France's Maxime Durand got control of the ball when Neville Byrnes tried to sneak it across the goal line. 89 minutes into the game, Quentin Beaux was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. France's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Manly FC the free kick. Quentin Beaux kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Neville Byrnes took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 89th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Maxime Durand. France's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Carmichael Carberys short, quick shot in the 92ndth minute got Maxime Durand to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The Manly FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
