Loja S.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kyle Cox was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. England's Khalid Kennedy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabricio Vedeja in the 6th minute of play. Fabian Sala kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kyle Cox in the 7th minute of play forced Loja S.C.'s goalkeeper Joel Caton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Khalid Kennedy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Loco Bugedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Fabian Sala kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, England's Micah Macdonald tried to score from far away in the 13th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Kyle Cox struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Joel Caton didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for England. The supporters of England booed when Loja S.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Atilano Rojas didn't get a good kick on the ball. England's Khalid Kennedy proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save England from getting a goal against them. A very good chance. 29 minutes into the match, England's Kyle Cox sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joel Caton narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Atilano Rojas's late challenge caught a England's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Atilano Rojas helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of England booed when Loja S.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Atilano Rojas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kyle Cox fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joel Caton having to interfere. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Joel Caton showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 45 minutes, Patricio Alvarado mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Loja S.C. and the England players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of England booed when Loja S.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patricio Alvarado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Loja S.C.'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 48 minutes, Khalid Kennedy successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Atilano Rojas to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Loco Bugedo in the 52nd minute of play forced England's goalkeeper Khalid Kennedy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Caelan Hayes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joel Caton having to interfere. In the 61st minute, Loco Bugedo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Khalid Kennedy was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Loco Bugedo took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Khalid Kennedy. Khalid Kennedy dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Loja S.C. made a substitution. Sánchez Alborza replaced Reasco Landeros. Atilano Rojas scored 3-1 in the 74th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Khalid Kennedy, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hidalgo Gallegos in the 77th minute of play forced England's goalkeeper Khalid Kennedy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
