The audience thought a goal was coming when Murathan Ensar got free with Khalid Kennedy in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cihan Kisačević in the 17th minute of play forced England's goalkeeper Khalid Kennedy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 21 minutes, Kyle Cox made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. SOMINECO's Seçkin Eroğul tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Kyle Cox fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Seçkin Eroğul having to interfere. Seçkin Eroğul showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Issac Dawson in the 27th minute of the match. When Kyle Cox came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the England fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kyle Cox couldn't finish the play. 32 minutes into the match, SOMINECO's goal looked a bit too open when Issac Dawson came free, but Seçkin Eroğul reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Kyle Cox had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Micah Macdonald received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Seçkin Eroğul tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, England's Khalid Kennedy got control of the ball when Mir Güzel tried to sneak it across the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Issac Dawson got free with Seçkin Eroğul in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gunnsteinn Guðbjörnsson's late challenge caught a England's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
