Through an outstanding action, after 8 minutes, Arnout Reekers successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 9 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Albi Martínez came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albi Martínez in the 12th minute of play. 12 minutes into the game, Albi Martínez recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Arnout Reekers. Albi Martínez showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Arnout Reekers was out of position in the 21 minute of play, and Albi Martínez capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Albi Martínez really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Xu Yi Lei made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 28th minute of play. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Avram Stegaru in the 29th minute of play. Xu Yi Lei showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. In the 38th minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xu Yi Lei saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gijsbert ter Kruimer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ildefonso Ibar hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Gijsbert ter Kruimer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 46th minute, Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer fired away a free kick that almost went in the goal. Xu Yi Lei was prepared for the shot, but didn't have to make a play as the shot flew over the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nebi Tokyürek in the 53rd minute of play. In the 55th minute Waldemar Ryback shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 61 played minutes Netherlands got a freekick which was hit by Mathijn Doctor. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Waldemar Ryback in the 66th minute of play. In the 68th minute, Waldemar Ryback ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arnout Reekers was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. 70 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Waldemar Ryback came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, City Friseur Wuppertal's Nuratay Ergüner got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Egbert Nijveldt lost his temper 78 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 79 minutes of play, City Friseur Wuppertal's Waldemar Ryback made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arnout Reekers was left in no man's land by his defense there! Albi Martínez hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Waldemar Ryback, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Nebi Tokyürek hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Gustaaf Groeneveldt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Xu Yi Lei made a huge save. Waldemar Ryback took the ball and in the 99 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arnout Reekers. Arnout Reekers dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0.
