In the 10th minute Frank Sachs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hayden Baker saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 13 minutes, Frank Sachs managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Germany's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frank Sachs was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 15 minutes into the game, West Ham's Severo Laurentzi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tommy Kahn made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. After having played for 18 minutes, Albin Holweck managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Germany's supporters crossed their fingers, but Albin Holweck was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Severo Laurentzi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 24 minutes into the match, Germany's goal looked a bit too open when J.C. Smith came free, but Tommy Kahn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gavin Castledine charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gavin Castledine the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, West Ham's Gavin Castledine got a free kick in the 28th minute. Tommy Kahn was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Severo Laurentzi showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 31 minute of play. If Frank Sachs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 40 minutes into the match, Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Severo Laurentzi. Hayden Baker took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frank Sachs, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 44 minutes into the game, Severo Laurentzi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Tommy Kahn was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Germany's Adrian Dreifuss got a free kick in the 47th minute.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Severo Laurentzi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A hard shot 54 in the game by Frank Sachs from a close distance when the talented Hayden Baker managed to make a qualified save. West Ham's players were relieved. In the 56th minute, Stefan Camfield hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tommy Kahn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Severo Laurentzi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kurt Poynton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Severo Laurentzi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With an all-out effort, Germany's Hayden Baker threw himself towards the right post 83 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Albin Holweck, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Tommy Kahn stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Severo Laurentzi's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. If Albin Holweck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 95 minutes, Severo Laurentzi made it 4-0 with a short kick to the right side. Germany's Tommy Kahn tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. West Ham fully deserved thier win.
