With his leg Wilson Amorim managed to avoid a goal in the 5thth minute, when PELOTEROS 8°B 2003 FC's Bernardo Colle fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 7th minute the ball was on its way in behind Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Bernardo Colle took the ball and in the 9 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wilson Amorim. Wilson Amorim dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. After having played for 11 minutes, Bombai Mülayim managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PELOTEROS 8°B 2003 FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bombai Mülayim was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. PELOTEROS 8°B 2003 FC's Guntademaro Macera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viriato Moura in the 16th minute of play. 19 minutes into the match, PELOTEROS 8°B 2003 FC's goal looked a bit too open when Felipe Barreto came free, but Guntademaro Macera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wilson Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernardo Colle, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. A sloppy throw-in by Ernesto Daniel Schele in the 25th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Portugal's Bruno Bastos. After 28 minutes PELOTEROS 8°B 2003 FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Felipe Barreto who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Portugal's Caetano Moreira to fire away a dangerous shot which Guntademaro Macera despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After some careless play in the PELOTEROS 8°B 2003 FC defense, Felipe Barreto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Guntademaro Macera. The PELOTEROS 8°B 2003 FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Guntademaro Macera should have stopped the shot. Rodolfo Miranda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Guntademaro Macera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Caetano Moreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Felipe Barreto during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 45 played minutes Portugal got a freekick which was hit by Felipe Barreto. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Viriato Moura to make the kick off. After having played for 51 minutes, Nemesio Turri managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Felipinho Amorim's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Guntademaro Macera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. 71 minutes into the match, PELOTEROS 8°B 2003 FC's goalkeeper Guntademaro Macera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Felipinho Amorim. Bruno Bastos kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. 81 minutes into the match, PELOTEROS 8°B 2003 FC's goal looked a bit too open when Felipinho Amorim came free, but Guntademaro Macera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Felipinho Amorim could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Guntademaro Macera made a huge save. Guntademaro Macera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felipinho Amorim, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 94th minute Hugo Orlando Artigas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
