Gabriel Ascaso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erhan Ascı in the 25th minute of play. Gothic Souls's Lemi Uğurlubey played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Aranda in the 28th minute of play. 29 minutes into the game, Spain's Omar Toledo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lemi Uğurlubey made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. 32 minutes into the match, Gothic Souls's goal looked a bit too open when Adria Bielsa came free, but Lemi Uğurlubey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Omar Toledo to make the kick off.
