Alfredinho Cavalcante made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 27th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tana Rede in the 28th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 30th minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gustaaf Groeneveldt scored 0-1 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alfredinho Cavalcante, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Granadero10 getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Tana Rede hit a great ball. In the 35th minute, David Eikelkamp hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 37th minute, Wim Wilmes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arnout Reekers made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Laércio Penha sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 41st minute of play forced Granadero10's goalkeeper Alfredinho Cavalcante to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lars Meesters kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. After 47 played minutes Granadero10 got a freekick which was hit by Vítor Antunes. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Tana Rede made the kick off in the second half. If Gijsbert ter Kruimer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gustaaf Groeneveldt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Alfredinho Cavalcante made a huge save. 68 minutes into the game, Gustaaf Groeneveldt cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Alfredinho Cavalcante was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 81st minute Tana Rede shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Granadero10's zone, Gustaaf Groeneveldt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfredinho Cavalcante came out of the goal and Gustaaf Groeneveldt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alfredinho Cavalcante showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 87th minute of the match. After 87 played minutes Gijsbert ter Kruimer rounded Granadero10's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-4. Thanks to some nice moves Wim Wilmes could shoot a difficult shot in the 89th minute, which Alfredinho Cavalcante however easily saved by the left post. In the 91st minute of the match Netherlands got a corner. Granadero10's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gijsbert ter Kruimer ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Gijsbert ter Kruimer got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Alfredinho Cavalcante quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Alfredinho Cavalcante made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 93rd minute of play. Durval Mendes hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match.
