Italy's Flavio Vittori played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernardo Colle in the 20th minute of play. Guntademaro Macera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zaccheo Andolina in the 22nd minute of play. Guntademaro Macera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zaccheo Andolina in the 25th minute of the match. In the 29th minute Zaccheo Andolina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guntademaro Macera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hugo Orlando Artigas hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. If Bernardo Colle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Sigfrido Auletta managed to get in a good position for a shot. Italy's supporters rose to their feet, but Sigfrido Auletta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Guntademaro Macera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Zaccheo Andolina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guntademaro Macera having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

If Martin Viñe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 88th minute, Siricio Liotta made a precise shot to the right of Guntademaro Macera. PELOTEROS 8°B 2003 FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Italy made a substitution. Adriano Curto replaced Zaccheo Andolina. Italy's Guiscardo Davide was substituted for Sigfrido Auletta. A collision led to Italy getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Gomberto Picozzi hit a great ball. Flavio Vittori took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manolo Robledo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The PELOTEROS 8°B 2003 FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Italy were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
