Casper Claes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Hibai, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. In the 6th minute Lunatics of Arianrhod were awarded a corner. Joel Hibai went to the cornerflag to take it. Ernesto Martini struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Casper Claes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lunatics of Arianrhod. Edward Vanderstraeten might have been able to make a better finish in the 10th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cristoforo Tammaro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edward Vanderstraeten ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Belgium's Nigel Devos got a free kick in the 12th minute. Casper Claes made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Joel Hibai sent off a good shot on target. Yves Dervaux fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristoforo Tammaro having to interfere. Cristoforo Tammaro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yves Dervaux in the 28th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edward Vanderstraeten in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cristoforo Tammaro saved Lunatics of Arianrhod from getting behind. Cristoforo Tammaro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edward Vanderstraeten, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 34 minutes into the match, Lunatics of Arianrhod's goal looked a bit too open when Edward Vanderstraeten came free, but Cristoforo Tammaro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edward Vanderstraeten's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cristoforo Tammaro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. In the 41st minute Edward Vanderstraeten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristoforo Tammaro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 45th minute, Laurens Vandamme hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edward Vanderstraeten was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Edward Vanderstraeten managed to get in a good position for a shot. Belgium's supporters rose to their feet, but Edward Vanderstraeten was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cristoforo Tammaro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 66 minutes into the match, Edward Vanderstraeten had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cristoforo Tammaro. Lunatics of Arianrhod's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edward Vanderstraeten was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. In the 71st minute Fedele Panza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Casper Claes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lunatics of Arianrhod's defense didn't have a chance, in the 72nd minute, when Edward Vanderstraeten scored to the left of an out of position Cristoforo Tammaro, making the score, 3-2. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 75th minute, but Cristoforo Tammaro got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Lunatics of Arianrhod hanging dry this time. In the 76th minute of the match Belgium got a corner. Lunatics of Arianrhod's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Edward Vanderstraeten ran over to the corner to take the kick. When Dário Pereira in the 77th matchminute tried to hit away a contribution it went so bad that the ball went into own goal via right pole. A dismal self made goal which led to 3-3. Casper Claes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ernesto Martini, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. 89 minutes into the match, Lunatics of Arianrhod's goalkeeper Cristoforo Tammaro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edward Vanderstraeten. After 90 played minutes Belgium got a freekick which was hit by Siebe Michiels. Ernesto Martini received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Casper Claes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edward Vanderstraeten got free with Cristoforo Tammaro in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
