Casper Claes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Belgium's goalkeeper Casper Claes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Miguel Lito stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 54th minute of play forced Sangue nos Zóio's goalkeeper André Luiz Reis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind Belgium's goalkeeper Casper Claes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 59th minute Sangue nos Zóio were awarded a corner. Paul Silva went to the cornerflag to take it. André Luiz Reis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yves Dervaux in the 62nd minute of the match. Belgium's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Edward Vanderstraeten's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but André Luiz Reis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. 80 minutes into the match, Sangue nos Zóio's Miguel Lito sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Casper Claes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Sangue nos Zóio were awarded a corner in the 82th minute after Belgium's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Paul Silva took the corner. Edward Vanderstraeten might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over André Luiz Reis. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edward Vanderstraeten ran back to his position shaking his head. Guillaume Bonte hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. 96 minutes into the game, Edward Vanderstraeten was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Belgium's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sangue nos Zóio the free kick. After 96 played minutes Belgium got a freekick which was hit by Edward Vanderstraeten. Sangue nos Zóio were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Belgium's much stronger midfield.
