After a rather tough play, Bielsa FC's Armando Virila got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Shamus McGlynn charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Shamus McGlynn the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 3rd minute, Shamus McGlynn hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Washington getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Conor McPaul hit a great ball. Theodore McNamara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Prospero Palos in the 7th minute of play. When Shamus McGlynn came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Washington fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Shamus McGlynn couldn't finish the play. 23 minutes into the game, Shamus McGlynn cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Amador Enetz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Washington getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Shamus McGlynn hit a great ball. Siro Olentzaro's late challenge caught a Washington's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Siro Olentzaro helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Washington booed when Bielsa FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Siro Olentzaro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ennis Cronin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Siro Olentzaro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Theodore McNamara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arnold McJames made in the 35th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Shamus McGlynn. Prospero Palos hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. 38 minutes into the game, Cleto Blasi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bielsa FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Washington the free kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Conan Barrett in the 39th minute of play forced Bielsa FC's goalkeeper Amador Enetz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 42nd minute, Ennis Cronin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Amador Enetz was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. The supporters of Bielsa FC booed when Washington was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brandan John didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 46 minutes, Gaston Caradaro took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Theodore McNamara to make any attempt to save it. The Bielsa FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Washington were winning 1-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Shamus McGlynn made a kick off. Washington's attentive Bricin McNamara managed to snatch the ball when Prospero Palos made a throw-in in the 54th minute of the game. Amador Enetz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Shamus McGlynn in the 55th minute of play. In the 58th minute, Shamus McGlynn got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Amador Enetz made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when Shamus McGlynn sent off a good shot on target. After 66 minutes of play, Bielsa FC's Armando Virila made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Theodore McNamara was left in no man's land by his defense there! 70 minutes into the match, Shamus McGlynn had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Amador Enetz. Bielsa FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Shamus McGlynn was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. Washington were awarded a corner in the 76th minute after Bielsa FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Conan Barrett took the corner. The corner led Washington's Conan Barrett to fire away a dangerous shot which Amador Enetz despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Ennis Cronin struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Amador Enetz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Washington. Bricin McNamara hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Amador Enetz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Shamus McGlynn's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. Anselmo Hermon kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Washington's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
