Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Godoy Cruz's Fausto Iraunkor started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 8th minute, Reynaldo Egun left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Picapiedras FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. A collision led to Picapiedras FC getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Matias Berto hit a great ball. In the 12th match minute, Picapiedras FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Domingo Celipe to maneuver through the defense. When Picapiedras FC's Reynaldo Egun in the 14th minute got a chance for a shot 14th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Godoy Cruz's goalie prevented a goal. If Fausto Iraunkor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Reynaldo Egun scored 0-2 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Natalio Ricart, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fausto Iraunkor in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Juan Ibañez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reynaldo Egun in the 25th minute of play forced Godoy Cruz's goalkeeper Natalio Ricart to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 26th minute, Nereo Laurgain left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Picapiedras FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Reynaldo Egun recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 36th match minute, Godoy Cruz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Uriel Vachon to maneuver through the defense. In the 37thth minute of the game Reynaldo Egun who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Godoy Cruz's Natalio Ricart was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 39 minutes into the game, Reynaldo Egun cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Natalio Ricart was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Natalio Ricart came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by Picapiedras FC's Reynaldo Egun. But to his dismay, Reynaldo Egun quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. Nereo Laurgain sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Godoy Cruz players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Picapiedras FC were winning 0-5.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Reynaldo Egun made a kick off. Reynaldo Egun in the 57thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Natalio Ricart, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Reynaldo Egun who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 60thth minute tested the skills of Natalio Ricart when he managed to save the team from getting behind. A hard shot 68 in the game by Reynaldo Egun from a close distance when the talented Natalio Ricart managed to make a qualified save. Godoy Cruz's players were relieved. Uriel Vachon hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. 78 minutes into the game, Reynaldo Egun recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Natalio Ricart. Reynaldo Egun showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-7. After having played for 82 minutes, Reynaldo Egun managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Picapiedras FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Reynaldo Egun was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Reynaldo Eguns short, quick shot in the 85thth minute got Natalio Ricart to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The crowd rose to their feet as Picapiedras FC's Reynaldo Egun slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Natalio Ricart. That made the score 0-8 after 87 minutes of play. With 91 minutes on the clock, Amadeo Urtsin commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 91 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Picapiedras FC! In the 93rd minute there was a penalty for Godoy Cruz. Desiderio Urko stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Juan Ibañez. 1-8. In the 96th match minute, Picapiedras FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Inocencio Iago to maneuver through the defense.
