The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the game, Bater Palma cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Samuel Sena was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Emil Fărcășan kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. If Adalberto de Sousa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Grêmio Platinos Juniors's defense didn't have a chance, in the 12th minute, when Bater Palma scored to the left of an out of position Samuel Sena, making the score, 2-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bater Palma got free with Samuel Sena in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Samuel Sena made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Bater Palma sent off a good shot on target. 24 minutes into the match, Bater Palma dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Samuel Sena, 3-0. Samuel Sena took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leo Iigo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as CE LAJEADENSE RS's Bater Palma slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Samuel Sena. That made the score 4-0 after 31 minutes of play. Flavinho Reis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adalberto de Sousa, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. 36 minutes into the match, Grêmio Platinos Juniors's goalkeeper Samuel Sena had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bater Palma. Grêmio Platinos Juniors's Samuel Sena proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Grêmio Platinos Juniors from getting a goal against them. A hard shot 41 in the game by Bater Palma from a close distance when the talented Samuel Sena managed to make a qualified save. Grêmio Platinos Juniors's players were relieved. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Osvaldo Pernambucano to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 50th minute, Leo Iigo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Samuel Sena was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. In the 54th minute Leo Iigo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Samuel Sena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 55 minutes into the match, Grêmio Platinos Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Bater Palma came free, but Samuel Sena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 59thth minute of the game Bater Palma who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Grêmio Platinos Juniors's Samuel Sena was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Samuel Sena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bater Palma in the 72nd minute of play. Samuel Sena came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by CE LAJEADENSE RS's Zhuo Chao Chuan. But to his dismay, Zhuo Chao Chuan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-0. Flavinho Reis was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Luiz Fernando Marinho showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 8-1 in the 81 minute of play. Bater Palma recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 86 minutes of play, CE LAJEADENSE RS's Bater Palma made it 9-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Samuel Sena was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 89th minute, Bater Palma got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match had gone on for 92 minutes, Wellington Vaz took a quick shot and it went in 9-2 without a chance for Flavinho Reis to make any attempt to save it. Grêmio Platinos Juniors's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
