Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when JosĂ© VĂtor Duarte made the kick off which started today's match. The audience was convinced that Christiano Tavares's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jeremias Neron was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. After some careless play in the Carabata Groove defense, JosĂ© VĂtor Duarte kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jeremias Neron. The Carabata Groove fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jeremias Neron should have stopped the shot. Jeremias Neron made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diguinho Mendonça in the 14th minute of play. The supporters of Carabata Groove booed when Izaltina FAD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. JosĂ© VĂtor Duarte didn't get a good kick on the ball. DrĂĄusio Oliveira acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 20th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Raimundo Astudillo. After 21 played minutes Izaltina FAD got a freekick which was hit by Bernardinho de Senna. Claudinei Palmeira struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Jeremias Neron didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Izaltina FAD. Carabata Groove's Jeremias Neron played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diguinho Mendonça in the 33rd minute of play. Christiano Tavares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Christiano Tavares came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Izaltina FAD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Christiano Tavares couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Claudinei Palmeira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Izaltina FAD's supporters rose to their feet, but Claudinei Palmeira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jeremias Neron breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 42nd match minute, Carabata Groove was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rosendo Taurino to maneuver through the defense. If Christiano Tavares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eriberto Norino to make the kick off. Jeremias Neron took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christiano Tavares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 61 minutes, Claudinei Palmeira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Izaltina FAD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Claudinei Palmeira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Christiano Tavares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jeremias Neron having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 64 minutes, Christiano Tavares put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Jeremias Neron. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ruperto Egun during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Carabata Groove getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Ruperto Egun hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Claudinei Palmeira got free with Jeremias Neron in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Christiano Tavares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Christiano Tavares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Jeremias Neron tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Izaltina FAD booed when Carabata Groove was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raimundo Astudillo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 88thth minute of the game Diguinho Mendonça who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Carabata Groove's Jeremias Neron was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Bernardinho de Senna hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Rolando Vargas struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Dråusio Oliveira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Carabata Groove. Izaltina FAD played a much better game than Carabata Groove and deserved their victory. The Carabata Groove players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
