Izaltina FAD's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 11th minute, 卓潮川 hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Bater Palma came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the CE LAJEADENSE RS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bater Palma couldn't finish the play. Dráusio Oliveira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leo Iigo in the 20th minute of the match. Claudinei Palmeira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bater Palma in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dráusio Oliveira saved Izaltina FAD from getting behind. José Vítor Duarte could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Flavinho Reis made a huge save. Flavinho Reis was out of position in the 31 minute of play, and Christiano Tavares capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Christiano Tavares really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Claudinei Palmeira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dráusio Oliveira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 卓潮川, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bater Palma fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dráusio Oliveira having to interfere. In the 46th minute, Bater Palma made a precise shot to the right of Dráusio Oliveira. Izaltina FAD's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and José Vítor Duarte made a kick off. A collision led to Izaltina FAD getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Christiano Tavares hit a great ball. Dráusio Oliveira acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 52nd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Caetano Saad. CE LAJEADENSE RS's Flavinho Reis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christiano Tavares in the 53rd minute of play. 58 minutes into the match, Izaltina FAD's goal looked a bit too open when 卓潮川 came free, but Dráusio Oliveira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 58 minutes, 卓潮川 made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. Izaltina FAD's Dráusio Oliveira tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Dráusio Oliveira made an important save on a dangerous shot by 卓潮川 in the 61st minute. Bater Palma could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Dráusio Oliveira made a huge save. Emil Fărcășan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Izaltina FAD's Waldir Mendes got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Dráusio Oliveira was a little too slow when Bater Palma got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 75th minute. The score was now 1-3. 79 minutes into the match, 卓潮川 had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dráusio Oliveira. Izaltina FAD's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that 卓潮川 was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. If Caetano Saad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bater Palma got free with Dráusio Oliveira in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Izaltina FAD's Dráusio Oliveira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Izaltina FAD from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Izaltina FAD's Dráusio Oliveira got control of the ball when Bater Palma tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 90th match minute, CE LAJEADENSE RS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Caetano Saad to maneuver through the defense. In the 95th minute 卓潮川 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dráusio Oliveira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The CE LAJEADENSE RS supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing CE LAJEADENSE RS would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
