The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Mathijn Doctor the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Netherlands protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Mathijn Doctor had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 14th minute, one of Netherlands:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Netherlands. Arnout Reekers didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hüseyin Cahit Yanıker went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Futbol Sevenler Kulübü's Seyit Tülün got a free kick in the 17th minute. In the 18th match minute, Futbol Sevenler Kulübü was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hıdır Batıhan to maneuver through the defense. Futbol Sevenler Kulübü's Mert Günok played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 22nd minute of play. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Özgür Özbek was the one to do the kick off. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hüseyin Cahit Yanıker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 52nd minute, Lars Meesters made a precise shot to the right of Mert Günok. Futbol Sevenler Kulübü's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. 57 minutes into the match, Lupe Bower notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of Netherlands's Arnout Reekers.
