Fabio Cordarell charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fabio Cordarell the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 4 played minutes Union Y Progreso F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Fabio Cordarell. An unexpected shot in the 5th minute by Adria Bielsa got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Dragomir Marchovski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Omar Toledo in the 9th minute. Dragomir Marchovski was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Omar Toledo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 9 minute of play. 13 minutes into the match, Union Y Progreso F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Adria Bielsa came free, but Dragomir Marchovski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Santiago Meruendano hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Spain's Gabriel Ascaso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santiago Meruendano in the 23rd minute of play. 27 minutes into the match, Santiago Meruendano notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Spain's Gabriel Ascaso. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Zeng Ting Xing to make the kick off. The audience was convinced that Zeng Ting Xing's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gabriel Ascaso was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Union Y Progreso F.C.'s León Rapela got a free kick in the 63rd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carlos Sueiro got free with Gabriel Ascaso in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Spain's Gabriel Ascaso got control of the ball when Zeng Ting Xing tried to sneak it across the goal line. Spain made a substitution. Pau Herrero replaced David Aranda. A nice corner shot did that Jon Cubero got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Dragomir Marchovski quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Union Y Progreso F.C.'s Dragomir Marchovski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sergio Ruiz in the 89th minute of play. The Union Y Progreso F.C. supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Union Y Progreso F.C. would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
