Antal Valentin was slow to take the kick. During this time Hungary's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Hungary's corner Antal Valentin fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Paulo Victor quite easily take care of the ball. Antal Valentin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Major Barna's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Paulo Victor read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Esporte Clube Pilar's zone, Antal Valentin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paulo Victor came out of the goal and Antal Valentin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Takacs Tibor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Victor having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Antal Valentin in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Paulo Victor saved Esporte Clube Pilar from getting behind.

The wind increased when Antal Valentin made the kick off in the second half. When Antal Valentin came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Hungary fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Antal Valentin couldn't finish the play. In the 60th minute Hegedus Henrik shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulo Victor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Antal Valentin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paulo Victor made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Antal Valentin sent off a good shot on target. Hegedus Henrik took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Paulo Victor. Paulo Victor dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. When Major Barna came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Hungary fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Major Barna couldn't finish the play. Fodor Daniel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonardo de Lara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 81st minute Yan Zonta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fodor Daniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
