Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Iustin Bâru started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd match minute, Go Ahead Eagles was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Panos Karagoutis to maneuver through the defense. In the 4th minute Porziano Marchitelli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Scarafia Ghost saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 8th minute the ball was on its way in behind Go Ahead Eagles's goalkeeper Scarafia Ghost, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Italy's Flavio Vittori proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Italy from getting a goal against them. Italy's Sigfrido Auletta got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 20 minutes of play, Go Ahead Eagles's Iustin Bâru made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Flavio Vittori was left in no man's land by his defense there! 22 minutes into the match, Italy's goalkeeper Flavio Vittori had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Iustin Bâru. In the 24th minute Siricio Liotta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Scarafia Ghost saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Italy's Sigfrido Auletta got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 29 minutes into the match, Italy's Siricio Liotta sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Scarafia Ghost narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Zaccheo Andolina's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Scarafia Ghost read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. Scarafia Ghost didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zaccheo Andolina went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. The throw-in from Iakovos Efthimiadis in the 35th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Italy's Siricio Liotta. In the 36th minute Sigfrido Auletta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Scarafia Ghost saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Scarafia Ghost took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sigfrido Auletta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Scarafia Ghost showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zaccheo Andolina in the 45th minute of the match. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Zaccheo Andolina to make the kick off. In the 51st minute Iustin Bâru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flavio Vittori saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 61st play minute Zaccheo Andolina came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Scarafia Ghost. 1-2. Go Ahead Eagles made a substitution. Panos Kaklamanos replaced Manga Mangkudikusumah. Through an outstanding action, after 69 minutes, Scarafia Ghost successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Italy's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Sigfrido Auletta in the 70th minute. Deodato Magliozzi made a great header on Italy's corner, it was just that Go Ahead Eagles's Scarafia Ghost managed to reach the ball for a save. 72 minutes had been played when some careless play by Go Ahead Eagles's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Sigfrido Auletta was slow to take the kick. During this time Italy's players had a chance to rest. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernando Amorebieta in the 75th minute of play forced Italy's goalkeeper Flavio Vittori to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Scarafia Ghost made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zaccheo Andolina in the 78th minute of play. Italy's Flavio Vittori played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iustin Bâru in the 84th minute of play. Italy's Sansone Vanella was substituted for Gianpaolo Mascari. Go Ahead Eagles's Erling Lewandowski was substituted for Iustin Bâru. In the 86th minute of the match Go Ahead Eagles got a corner. Italy's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Cássio Gonçalves ran over to the corner to take the kick. Go Ahead Eagles's Cássio Gonçalves was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Flavio Vittori in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 92nd minute, Erling Lewandowski ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Flavio Vittori was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Italy were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
